Creative Consultants

This photo is the first draft of what is going to be somewhere on the Baby Clean Fun CD. The kids were not the most cooperative so I had to do a ton of Photoshopping on this pic. It looks like June is (hopefully) when we will be releasing the CD!! Michelle and I are soooo excited for this! I will keep everyone updated.

I have started a love affair.

I didn't want to at first. He wasn't my type. But my old love was getting just that-old. An offer was made that I just could not refuse. Then I took a little "ride" and I was hooked....
********************************

Now before you all get on the phone to call Ted and let him know of my infidelity, I just got a new car. It is a 2002 Dodge Stratus. My Grandpa Jay traded it in for a new car and the dealership sold it to us as a courtesy sale. Grandpa Jay also gave us $ to help pay for it (Thank you so much Grandpa!). So now I have a decent car with only 14,000 miles on it, 3 years left of a bumper to bumper warranty and no car payment. Plus Ted adjusted the seat for me so that I can see and it drives like a dream. The love affair continues...
Therapy Friday.

My college roommate Barb and I try to get together once a month for dinner and what we fondly call "Therapy Friday". Usually it is a total get it off your chest talk fest and last night was no different. We ate at this kick ass Mexican restaurant in Kennett Square and yapped away. I don't think there is anywhere I can get solid and sound life advise for $27 (Barb you can get the next session).

Take a walk with me.

This picture just reminds me of every hardship, every sacrifice, every poopy diaper, every sleepless night, every tear and how every second is worth it.

I love this pic!

Had a photo shoot the other day with this precious baby girl who was just over a week old. This picture gets me a little vaclempt (translation-teary eyed) every time I look at it. The Daddy in the pic is a Marine who looked at his baby girl with love and awe. The funniest thing about the whole shoot is that she did not like to be uncovered and let us know by peeing on us twice!

Hey Margo-Thanks for "Beadazzling" me!

Little gift I got on St. Patty's Day!

8 Minute Abs

For the last three weeks, the Cardwell family (mostly Ben and I) have worked out to a video called 8 minute abs. I don't think I have laughed so hard as I did the other nite watching the whole family on the livingroom floor doing crunches. Cate would do one crunch and go "ouch that really hurt", while Alex mostly laid on the floor and rolled around. I can actually get thru the whole eight minutes at this point as can Ben. He motivates me every nite by wanting to do the video. I may never have a six pack but having Ben tell me my stomach looks smaller is reward enough!
Happy Birthday Ted-How about I get you Rita's Water Ice!

Today was Ted's B-day (plus the first day of Spring-yeah!) and the kids and I woke him up with a birthday orange. You heard me right-- I plugged a candle in an orange, lit it and sang Happy Birthday to him. We are trying to make healthy choices you know. I had to go to work today, but came home at lunch to give Ted some "Personal Down Time"-he went to the store to buy fixin's for French Onion Soup (so I guess the cookbooks I got him scored some points this year) After dinner we went to Rita's for some free water ice and it was packed! The funniest thing about the whole Rita's trip was sitting in the van watching Alex shivering while still shoveling water ice in his mouth.

Bubbles and Blue Eyes

These pics are from a recent shoot. I adore the bubble shot and the blue eyes on this little boy are to die for. It was a fun shoot and I was really happy with the results!

Running, shooting, and sleeping.

Not much more than that. I am up to 24 minutes running (about 2 miles) but have been nursing my foot which I somehow injured. It may be from my large frame constantly pounding on it, but who knows. Ted and I got each other an exercise bike for our B-days so I plan to use that to break up the running a bit. I have had a few photo shoots which I will post pics of soon. As for sleeping, I get it when I can. Since getting up at 5:40am every morning, I find myself totally out of it by 8pm every nite. This "not really a spring chicken" anymore needs her beauty rest.

You say its your birthday, well its my birthday too!

I am 34 and I have had the best day! I took a vacation day from work and Ted let me sleep in. Got hand picked beautiful earrings from Ben, a Itunes CD and 10 lb dumbells from Ted and Hot pink boots from Cate and Alex. Gpa Jay sent a check, as did my Mom and Dad. Mark and Sharon hooked a sister up with a GC from Amazon and my neighbor Joy brought over a bouquet of flowers. Barb came down and took me out to lunch and I got calls and cards from Jen S, Liz, Erin/Kelley, Angela, Michelle and my Aunt Kathy. My friend Kelly S. even posted on her blog about my B-Day! To top it all off, Ted made me a chocolate cake with caramel icing-yum! I was just spoiled rotten today and feel humbled by the people who know how much I love celebrating my B-day and care enough about me to wish me well. Really it means I am frickin' lucky. I'll take the luck and the extra year under my belt and look forward to the next 364 days! Thanks to everyone who made this birthday a special one!

I like you.

"I like you" is one of the songs that Jeffrey Gaines sings. I started to listen to Jeffrey Gaines when I was in college and loved him. Saw him in a club in Harrisburg-loved him even more(he is incredible live)!! When his second CD came out, I had just started dating Ted and "I like you" was the first track on the CD. So it became our official first song. I have seen Jeffrey at the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg 2xs, at the Blue Star in Lancaster, once for a promotional lunch concert in Lancaster hosted by FM97 and last night I saw him at the Chameleon. When Jeffrey started singing, it took me back, made me dance and scream out all of the lyrics I of course know by heart. At the end of the show, he played our song and Ted and I danced/jumped around together at the front of the stage. Afterwards, I got my picture with Jeffrey and one of the opening acts Adam K. What a night!!!! You rock Jeffrey Gaines!
