Let me tell you about a lucky penny.

Roughly about 18 months ago they repaved King Street in Lancaster City. Two days after the work was done, I was crossing King Street and noticed a penny heads up. Of course, being the change saving person I am (Scotland Fund), I reached down to pick it up. Here is the kicker, it was stuck solid in the tar on the street and here I am on a street with pretty busy traffic trying to pick it up. Several days later I must have forgotten that the penny was stuck and I did the same thing again. Now since I was so dumb twice and did not get hit by a car, I consider it my lucky penny. Everyday when I cross King Street, I make sure I step on that penny to remind me that I have some luck and it never ceases to make me smile. So if you are ever in my work neighborhood feel free to share in my luck and step on the penny.

CONGRATS MARK AND SHARON!!!!!!!!!
Check out the details.....
Home: Survived Thanksgiving/15th HS Reunion.

It was an interesting weekend to say the least. Thanksgiving day was as close to perfect as possible. Good food, peaceful and relaxing. Our extended family unit has divided over an incident that happened this summer. Long story short-My cousin fell in love with a great guy, got pregnant, got married and my Mom and I supported them-therefore making us the "Daughters of Satan". So we had a few less people at the dinner table. Which for the record was their choice. I was bummed out for about 5 minutes got over it and enjoyed a room full of people who got along--until Friday came along....

On Friday, My mom and I got into our every seven years blow out fight over something really stupid. For me to say I was a little upset, is an understatement. We made up and all, but I am still feeling tender. It made me start thinking living in Las Vegas or somewhere far, would have its perks. In fact-Ted and I even talked about it. But sometimes people disagree and fight, what shows how big of a person you are is how you handle the fall out. My feelings will mend, so will hers and we will be a stronger family for it.

On to Saturday-My 15th HS Reunion was a blast!!! It went great. About half the class showed up and hung out at the Landmark in Glassboro. It was great catching up with some people who I have not seen in 15 years, but mostly it was great hanging out with Liz, Lisa, and Erin (don't worry ang-we poured some out for you) Some embarrasing photos of me surfaced-now get your mind out of the gutter-it was just pics of me dressed up as a cupid for school spirit day. One of my classmates wives said she saw a video of me-again get your mind out of the gutter-dressed as a Red Cross blood drop supporting the school's blood drive. Yikes-have I done some nutty things in my day.

Some other little tid bits about the weekend: Had two photo shoots, did pretty good in Trivial Pursuit but lousy in Poker, saw Harry Potter "Goblet of Fire" and got to visit with Erin's parents who are the nicest people! All in all a whirlwind weekend!!

T-Minus 10 seconds to blast off....

Note to self: Do not leave packing for a family of five to the morning you plan to leave for a 5 day trip. It is very stressful and you will start the DSD and yell at Ted (and he somewhat deserves it) So take 5 minutes and attempt to be funny on your blog then get your ass back to work.

What I have learned/What has been going on since November 3rd:

1. I officially have a new sister-in-law!! Mark and Sharon were married last weekend and the wedding/reception was a blast. Ben did a great job as a "ring barrier" and I did not flub my reading.

2. Ben lost his first tooth.

3. Alex is not going to qualify for speech therapy as of February. This of course is kick butt news! He is caught up-Woo-Hoo!!

4. Cate is singing like no ones business-she may be the next American Idol.

5. My business cards for Just Be. Photography by Beth Cardwell are in and look awesome!

6. My new obsession for the business is Photo Collages. I think it would be cool to be able to offer this to my customers. I posted one of Alex that I did today.

7. I completely cleaned out my closet-did not find any skeletons. Trying to organize and simplify my life, so it makes sense to start with my closet.

8. Went to a training in Penn State, where I found out I am a "Socializer". Holy Crap I never would have guessed that-

9. It is to my understanding that I am going to get some help at regular work-I am seriously holding my breath on this -I have been running around like a crazy headless chicken and could really use to lessen the load. I hope whoever they hire is not snarky.

10. When you have to be around mean complainers, you should not be surprised when they complain meanly about you--so be prepared and don't let the bitches get you down :)

11. Kelly--I am just adding this line to see if you are reading this.

12. BYOC-(Bring your own craft) Nite was great and it was a packed house--I love the woman in my Woman's Group. I have not laughed so hard in a while.

13. I have a new found respect for recording artists--after 13 hours in the studio, the CD that Michelle and I are recording is about half finished. It sounds great and I can't wait to share more details with everyone soon!

14. My 15 year High School Reunion is one week away. There have been some last minute stuff to take care of, but I am looking forward to hanging out with the G-Boro peeps next weekend.

Well that is it, I am hoping that I can blog more consistantly now that things are settling down a bit. Peace out.

Just some pics I had a chance to get today of Alex in his sweater and hat!

WELCOME NOVEMBER!!

Man this year has flown by!! I can not believe it is almost over, with so much left to do! Mark and Sharon's Wedding is in a week, I am going to be in the studio with my friend Michelle on Saturday recording a childrens CD (don't worry I'll give you more info when its done), I am scheduled for 2 out of town trainings, Ben's B-day, My HS reunion, Thanksgiving and Christmas and all the craziness that goes with those holidays and oh yeah that photography business I started.

God, I love this life! Anyone close to me knows to ignore my bitchin' because most times it is just stress or being a "real" woman again. I am working on that as well-trying to not to get into the DSD :)

A couple of goals for the rest of the year: 1.) Scrapbook more- I have not made time to scrapbook, and I am bummed out that my Creative Cult friend Margo is closing her CM business after almost 5 years 2.) Start Training- I will run in the Red Rose Run 2006. 3.) Make more of everyday-
