Passing on the Love of Reading.

This is a picture of my Dad and the kids this past weekend. All three of them were so engrossed with Grandpa reading "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein, they did not even look up as I was shooting away. He used to do the same thing for my brother and I and it is nice to see the tradition continue
.

I might have been too young to recall 'Sidewalk', but I do remember you and the good Dr. Sahm reciting that poem 'Sick' to each other. Sounds like a verse that Cate will master... like her mother before her!

Alas, in retrospect, I think I may have unknowingly become Hector the Collector. Maybe it did sink in.

Okay, did you stage this shot or did you just catch it? I need to take you everywhere in my pocket for those everyday life shots! I am very impressed with your photography skills.

And yes, it is so important that children are encouraged to read and that love of reading cultivated!
