Football vs. Scrapbooking
Yes, it is that time of the year again. Football season (insert groan). Don't get me wrong-I actually like football, both college and professional. However, it is not part of my daily life say like...scrapbooking is. I work in a program where there are six of us and I am the only female. Three of the guys played football on the college level, one played semi-pro for a while, one tried out for the NFL-because he was like an all American, 2 coach/or coached. Every single one of them are in some type of football internet pool. So everyday I hear about players, trades, scores and stats. Pretty exciting stuff (insert chuckle and snort).
Because I have busted a time or two that the guys in my office may be a tad obsessed with football, they have given it right back to me about scrapbooking. Scrapbooking is called Creative Cult (rightly so) and I am "fondly" called CrabScrapper, Scrappy Do or some other derivative of scrappin'. I will be the first to admit that I am obsessed with Scrapbooking-there is no doubt about it. I just redid a room so I could house all my supplies (woo-hoo NEW ROOM!).
I have put together the following list to actually show that there may be different levels of obsessed-You be the judge.
1. I can not name the last five years of Scrapbooking Hall of Fame Winners.
2. I do not know the top grossing (Scoring) scrapbook company from Last year.
3. I do not trade fictious scrapbooking papers to other scrappers in the hope that the scrapbook page that I created will get the most points to win the "free" weekly contest.
4. I can not name all of the "professional" scrapbooking companies and everyone who "works" for them.
5. I do not know every professional scrapbooker that has ever scrapped- as well as how tall they are, how much they weigh and how many scrapbook pages that they have completed.
There you go. More later......

Love it! My dh will get a kick out of your list as well. Can't wait to show the fantasy-sports loving nut, even though he is very supportive of my sb'ing and does know who LB is and all that. :)
Too Funny, Beth! My DH is way into football and the whole fantasy league thing - I will have to make him read this! Love the room, the color, the floor - when am I coming to play??? Cindy
I almost spit out my coffee laughing at your scrapping vs fantasy football comparison. I'm glad I will get to see you this weekend. I guess you're feeling good since I haven't heard otherwise!!!
